*CAUTION, MILD HARRY POTTER SPOILERS*

Books seldom make me emotional. I am very emotionally sensitive, but books usually do not have the same effect on me that most other things do. HPatHBP broke the rule. I never really cried, but I was shocked by the you-know-what at the end. What's more, I really started to feel something odd about a day after I finished it. What really hit home for me was the feeling that everyone is leaving.

There'll be one more book, but even in that, almost everyone and everything that we love will be gone, never to be seen again. And then it's over. And that's what's happening in a lot of our lives right now. Most of my friends I might see one or two times more. Then, that's it - pretty much forever. It doesn't matter that I'll go on and replace what's been lost. It still hurts too much to say goodbye.

I respect Rowling's decision to end it though. You can't write about the same characters for too long. Eventually you'll end up hating them, no matter how much they are loved by the fans. Just look at H2G2tG. The first three books were spectacular, the fourth was good, and the fifth was an attempt to exterminate all the characters absolutely and permanently so that he wouldn't have to hear fans whining for yet another sequel. She'll write more, and it'll be good. It just won't be the same. Good, but different.

I'm a Luna fanboy myself. Not a shipper, mind you- I didn't really want her to end up with anyone, which is why everything is fine with me. I'm just personally obsessed with her. I really hope she'll be featured in the next book. It seems pretty likely, as she and Neville are the only ones left at Hogwarts that The trio really knows.

And also, I have some crazy triple-quadruple crossing theories. E-mail me if you want to know about them.

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY HARRY POTTER!!!!! And I'm glad you love Luna. One time, on one of those survey thingies, you filled it out about me, and when it asked what character I reminded you of, you put Luna Lovegood. So now I'm happy.

But hey, when you talked about not seeing people but once or twice ever again, THAT made me sad. Yeah, so I haven't seen you in two and a half years. That's pretty depressing. I will see you again. I'm determined. Or at least we'll review each others' books.

Teehee. Much love.

Heh...and I thought I was insane for doing crossings....<< >> I don't feel so bad any more!

As the person above me said, so what if we haven't seen each other in a year. When you meet someone, you stay connected, even if you don't keep in touch with them. You'll see everyone again. Don't worry. -pets-

... to be complete cliqueness: they will be in your heart.

on a personal level, the last harry pothead book was a bit of a disapointment, i kept wanting the dood to just pop back to life, then i just theorized she no longer liked the new guy playing him in the movies, so she had to get rid of him. that makes sense to me. i think hogwarts is a rad name for a school.
